Mötley Bäkes is more than just a project, it's my mum's business. After Google shut down her Google My Business profile, she needed a new way to be seen. I built this full site in 3 days, focused on visibility and discoverability. The goal wasn't aesthetics alone, it was SEO-first. Clean structure, keyword-focused content, fast load speeds, and strong service-area targeting. Now, she ranks for vegan wedding cakes across Bedfordshire, Luton, and beyond.
DEVELOPMENT
The site was built fully in React, no templates, no builders. Every component was coded from scratch for full control over performance, SEO, and responsiveness. I optimised routing, lazy-loaded assets, and implemented clean, accessible markup to keep things fast and smooth across devices. From metadata to mobile nav, everything was engineered to help Mötley Bäkes get discovered, and stay found, in every key location.
PROBLEMS
Absolutely zero. No errors, no crashes, not even a console warning. It's rare! But... sometimes things just work. This was one of those builds.
SOLUTIONS
Even without problems, the goal was to solve visibility. We built a custom React site with clean SEO, fast performance, and local targeting baked in (no pun intended). No third-party templates, no slow page builder, just a lean, optimised foundation designed to help Mötley Bäkes rank for vegan cakes across Luton, Bedfordshire, and beyond.
